I don't know how other people will feel about this article but I for one think this is crazy! How are kids suppose to retain information without putting it into practice? Also, these authors are basing their opinion on a correlational relationship, not a causal one. If a correlation was found between eating green m&ms and doing well in math it does not mean that eating m&ms will help you be better at math! It might be a coincidence. This country is getting too lax, expecially when we now believe our kids need a break from learning. I am not a parent but that does not mean I don't understand, I am surrounded by children and I feel that our lazy society needs to stop making excuses and encourage each other's education.
