Glee!

Hello everyone!

It's been very very long since my last post and I apologize. I told you guys I'd post about Glee but many episodes have gone by since the second so i'll give you instead my favorite episodes:

- Grilled cheesus - funny and insightful. It touches on the sensitive subject of religion without being offensive.
- The substitute - who knew Gwyneth Paltrow was so talented
- Furt - So touching... almost made me cry
- A very Glee christmas - it's Christmas how could you not love it!

I love all the episodes but those were definitely the most memorable ones for me.

BACK AGAIN

Hello my devoted followers (and other people who just happened to stumble across this blog)

I have been away for a looong time mourning the loss of my golden opportunity to join the cast of GLEE. However the new season has perked up my spirits and I'm back once again. From now until the end of the season I will try to post a weekly message regarding my thoughts on the new Glee episode each week. Good or bad I ask that you respect my opinons and I will respect yours in turn.

Since I haven't posted any for the first 3 weeks I will do so now (FYI if you'd like to watch the full episodes,  they are available online in Canada  Here and in the states Here) :

Season 2 episode 1 - Audition

Ok so I thought the first episode was fantastic! Love love love coach Beiste (she's kinda a mix between Will and Shu don't ya think? in terms of her personality) Sunshine Corazone sings amazingly but seems like kinda a bubblehead (smiles all the time, even when she gets sent to a crack house) now I dunno if that's how the character is suppose to be or if Charice is just a bad actress, I guess we'll find out. Finally the new guy Sam, good looking and he sings great, but there have been rumours floating around that he will become Kurt's new love interest. I can't wait to see what happens with him.

Season 2 episode 2 - Brittany

This episode wasn't my favorite. Maybe because I'm not a huge fan of Brittany Spears. However, I did appreciate Heather Morrison's rendition of her songs though. It was her first solo and she imitated Brittany really well. Otherwise the episode was kind of dry. However, John Stamos was a treat. He's awesome and doesn't seem to age. Does anyone remember him from full house?! Love him!

Season 2 episode 3 - Grilled Cheesus

Wow this must've been the most serious and intense episode of Glee so far. I really liked the fact that they sang songs about faith, a subject that's often avoided. Can't wait to see what happens with Kurt's dad.

Glee finale

Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to blog about the Glee finale, in one word: Spectacular! The medley was great at usual and I particularly loved the fact that Quinn gave birth and Ms Cochran adopted the child. I really hope to see her character again later on in season 2. Also, I wonder what Quinn will be like now that's she's no longer pregnant. Furthermore, what's up with the creepy love connection between Will's Ex (Terry) and Finn? Seems a little like pedophilia to me, maybe tone that down a little Ryan Murphy. What do you guys think will happen in season 2?

Entitlement.... people are snobs

You know, since I moved downtown and have turned into a hard core walker, I have a new bone to pick with certain pedestrians. I really get annoyed and a little insulted when people take up the entire sidewalk and expect you to move out of their way without them having to budge a single inch. This undeserved sense of entitlement frustrates me. Such a small unwillingness to move your ass to the side as I am willing to do for you is uncalled for. What makes you so much more important than me? Why am I the only one who has to acknowledge your existence without you doing the same? Please fellow pedestrians show some courtesy, it's bad enough on the roads as a driver, let's not succumb to the same pigheaded attitude.

FIFA World Cup 2010

Hey my devoted readers,

I just decided to post a short note about this year's world cup. Although I'm not typically a big football aficionado I can't help but get caught up in the World Cup hype. I must tell you all that I do not know who I want to see win this year but I do know who I don't want to see win the world cup... ALGERIA! Luckily the way they've been playing they'll be out by their next game. Why Algeria you ask? Well my country of origin is Egypt and we have won the Africa Cup of Nations 6 times, yet when it came to this year's qualifiers for the World Cup Algeria pulled all these sleazy moves on the soccer field to weasel their way into the World Cup and for that reason I have no pity on them and will be laughing out loud when they loose. Tell me what you guys think and who you'd want to see win and why? So far a lot of the underdog countries have been holding their ground (i.e USA and Ghana) don't you think?

Glee call backs

Hey everyone, so I know that there is a lot of buzz about call backs for the recent Glee auditions so I decided to see what I could find out first hand so I contacted Ulrich/Kritzer/Dawson casting because they are the casting directors for Glee, to ask some general questions and the lady on the phone (probably Carol Kritzer) advised me that they were handling the casting process at another office (she didn't give me the name of the other office) but I was able to ask her two very important questions:

1) When do they begin call backs? She said she does not know because they were still going through the thousands of submissions

2) Do you know how many people will be called back? She said she has no idea

so there you have it ladies and gentlemen, we hopeful Gleeks are not the only ones who have no clue what's going on. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Good luck to all and especially good luck to me!!!! :)
